Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College, Lengtisinga is one of the apex and Premier Higher Educational institution of rural area. The college is established on 11th october 1992.The library of the College is established in 1993. The College Library spread over 1320 Sq. feet area with independent building. The library is the liveliest place in the campus providing a safe, Comfortable and environment friendly place. The mission of the library is to facilitate creation of new Knowledge through acquisition, organization and dissemination of Knowledge sources and providing for value added services.

At the initial stage the library’s chief source of book was collected from Academicians and alumni of the college. Later the college authority, Governing Body and Library Advisory committee under took resolutions time to time to purchase Text and reference books, practical instruments, book shelves, Computer etc. for the development of the library. In the year 2017 the Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College library obtained Grants in aid of an Amount of Rs. 2,00,000 (2 lacks) by the Govt. of Assam to purchase library books.

At present the R.G.M. college Library has a well- stacked of collection about 5,563 books which includes Text books and reference books. The college library has good number of periodicals (Journals and Magazine) of local, national and international repute and a wide range of regional and national newspapers serving the need of the users in the college. The library is providing various services to its users and trying to expand the wings of its Services.

The college library follows open access system reducing the barriers between the books and readers. The library is also equipped with 4 CCTV cameras surveillance system.

The Rajiv Gandhi Memorial college library is automated using SOUL 2.0 F.E ( integrated library management Software – ILMS) developed by INFLIBNET. The college has membership Under N-LIST Programme and User can access e- journals and e- books.
