Programme Outcomes: B.A (UG LEVEL)

 

After completing the B.A. (UGL) Course, the students are expected to:

 

  1. Acquire the knowledge with facts and figures concerned with the subjects as specified in the prospectus of the college. The Subjects include- Arabic, Assamese, English, Political Science, Education, Economics, History, Geography and Mathematics.
  2. Understand the basic concepts, objectives and various theories in the above mentioned
  3. Realize the importance of literature in terms of aesthetic, moral, intellectual development of students concerned.
  4. Understand how issues in the social science get influenced by the literature, Politics and historical events and how they provide solutions to the social
  5. Gain the analytical ability to analyze the social with the help of course curriculum.
  6. Prepare the students to Participate in various socio- cultural activities
  7. Evaluate and teach that social issues are no longer permanent in nature and largely depend on the political and the economical changes continuously.
  8. Publish reference books, Magazine, articles, stories to spread the messages of equality, nationality, social harmony, moral values and ethics.

The programme specific outcome of the syllabus prescribed for the major students of Assamese is mentioned below:

  1. The syllabus contains different categories of Assamese literature like Romantic literature, Devotional literature, oral literature, etc. The learners can come to know about the various information of Assamese literature at different period of Especially through the ‗charyapada‘ the students get the information of the socio-cultural background of Assam.
  2. The advent of Neo-Vaishnavism and the composition of Sankardev, Madhavdev and others incorporated in the syllabus and above all the compositions like the Kirtonghosa, Bargeet, Ankiya Nat etc, not only strengthen the religion but also create awareness among the learners to fight against the social evils like casteism, superstitious etc.
  3. The old and modern Assamese poems acquaint the learners with the socio-cultural affairs of the society. These also give inspiration to learners to face the challenges of real
  4. Through this syllabus the students come to Know Assamese culture, the elements of folk culture, the festivals of Assam and the tradition of sakta, saiva and vaishnava dharma.

In keeping with the most important debates within the globalization discourse, it imparts an understanding of the working of the world economy, its anchors and resistances offered by global social movements while analyzing the changing nature of relationship between the state and trans-national actors and networks.
